While Mitt Romney and Rick Perry and the rest of the bean-brains are fighting over the GOP nomination, there’s a big competition in the GOP as to who can be the biggest jerk in the party who is not running for president.

The leading contenders have been folks like Rep. Steve King of Iowa, Rep. Louis Gohmert of Texas, Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina, and Rep. Paul Broun of Georgia, but Rep. Joe Walsh of Illinois, the deadbeat dad (who just won a “pro-family” award from a hate group) is threatening to surpass them all. Last weekend he held a town hall meeting in his district called “A Cup of Joe with Joe.” During the question time, he kind of lost it.
