Been There, Done That

David Brooks chews up a load of pixels defending private equity firms (“Robber barons are people, my friend!”) and bemoans the Democrats for once again using old campaign tactics:

For a candidate like Obama, who successfully ran an unconventional campaign that embodied and promised change, I have no idea why he would want to run a campaign this time that regurgitates the exact same ads and repeats the exact same arguments as so many Democratic campaigns from the ancient past.

As opposed to the Romney camp, which is going after the birth certificate again, complaining that Barack Obama doesn’t have the leadership skills to be president again, and hasn’t been fully vetted again. Gotcha.
