It Could Only Be An Improvement

According to report in Tucker Carlson’s Daily Caller, 83% of doctors are considering getting out of the business because of Obamacare.

Eighty-three percent of American physicians have considered leaving their practices over President Barack Obama’s health care reform law, according to a survey released by the Doctor Patient Medical Association.

Wow, that’s shocking. Whatever will we do?

Well, as Steve M finds, the Doctor Patient Medical Association is a Tea Party group, and the survey was taken sometime last month. But you can bet that this tidbit of news will show up in the stream of media chatter and at some point make it part of the badinage on Fox and Friends if it hasn’t already: 83% of America’s doctors are quitting! I heard it on the internet.

On another level, if I had a doctor that was aligned with the Tea Party, I would seriously consider finding another doctor. It’s not because I would hold his political beliefs against him, but if his judgment was such that he bought into the Tea Party propaganda, I would have questions about whether or not I would trust my health to them. Maybe the medical profession would be better off without nutty doctors in it.
