Armistice Day

We now celebrate that event with Veterans Day, and the official celebration is tomorrow in order to make it a holiday that closes banks and schools and gives furniture stores an excuse to have a sale.

In deference to the inevitable, I’ll be posting about Veterans Day tomorrow, but I think it’s important to remember that day not just for the men and women who served, but to mark the end of the “war to end all wars” that actually led to the reprisals and economic conditions that inevitably led to the worst war in our history.
