“Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” invariably makes me cry at the line, “through the years we all will be together, if the fates allow.”
Ave Maria by Bing Crosby.
Adeste Fidelis. In Latin. It was one of the more memorable (read “bearable”) seasons in boarding school during the last couple of years of high school. When I hear it I hear a large assembly of teenaged girls’ voices along with mine shouting out, reaching the rafters. And I’ve never heard it in an elevator.
To be a bit lighthearted, there is “Walking Around in Women’s Underwear” by Bob Rivers.
