In the early 70’s, I was job-hunting in Mpls. There was an opening for some type of office work that looked ok, so I went to get an application. The secretary (female, of course) refused to give me one. Her reason? I might get married, have kids, and quit the job. This incident still pisses me off, 40 years later.
