We’ve already had a terrible week with the Boston bombing, the Senate caving in spectacular cravenness to the wingnut lobby, and now death and destruction in Texas from an explosion at a fertilizer plant. (I give that a couple of hours before there’s a conspiracy theory floated about that.)
Dare I ask what more could go wrong?
Looks like the explosion in Texas was really bad and many are hurt. America has had a tough week.
The emergency services news sources are saying 6 firefighters and 2 EMS personnel — ALL volunteers — were killed – they were on scene fighting a fire at the time of the explosion.
Pretty miserable week, indeed.
I am afraid to ask. I am going to sign off the web for a couple days and try to ignore the television news as well, my “deal with it” meter is pegged.
My daughter and I were talking about what a terrible week it was in America this week an hour ago. Let’s see, the Boston Marathon was bombed, somebody tried to kill President Obama and a senator from Mississippi with ricin, a little town in Texas exploded, the gun lobby won over the rest of us, and here in Ohio the legislature is trying to defund Planned Parenthood and forbid teaching sex education. We are all on overload.
