Just So You Know

To paraphrase the immortal Hawkeye Pierce, the instrument has yet to be invented that can measure my indifference to the George Zimmerman trial.

I’ll report the verdict when it is in, but that’s it.  If you want to follow it, this is not the place.

3 barks and woofs on “Just So You Know

  1. If hope remains your greatest weakness, how can you declare to be totally indifferent to the Zimmerman trial.Seems to me there are some basic elements of your justice system at play her. Not to mention who can walk the streets.

It’s easy to understand you not wishing to become one of the vultures circling the roadkill. Leave that to Wolf Blitzer, Nancy Grace and their ilk but indifference is not even an option for me and I’m from Canada, eh. I’d be very concerned if the trial were taking place in my province though Zimmerman might not have had possession of the gun to do the deed.

  2. Being indifferent to the trial does not mean I’m indifferent to the process or the law and justice. It’s the wall-to-wall coverage of trials (vide O.J., Casey Anthony, etc.) that have people thinking they’re going to be seeing Sam Waterston or Perry Mason. I am against TV cameras in the court room for the same reason I’m against them in live theatre: it does not do the process and the participants justice.

    • Thank you for the clarification. It simply seemed out of character to me that you would be indifferent, based upon your position on other issues. After all, there is a dead person in all of this for what appears to be no viable reason.

      Agree totally regarding coverage.
