Fair and Unbalanced

Via TPM:

Clinton Anti-Christ 01-31-14

The candidate, state Sen. Ryan Zinke, is one of five Republicans competing for the nomination to succeed Rep. Steve Daines (R-MT) who is likely to run for the seat being vacated by Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT).

At his campaign kickoff event, according to the Bigfork Eagle, Zinke said “we need to focus on the real enemy.” He then went on to criticize Clinton calling her the “anti-Christ.”

So far, the RNC and Mr. Priebus is silent on the accusation by the candidate.  Why should he?  He has nothing to apologize for, right.

Meanwhile, WTVJ Channel 6 here in Miami ran a political ad for for the Florida Republican Party wherein some sly boots inserted a tiny little caption that labeled them as the Reprehensible Party of Florida.

Rephrensive Party 01-3114Cue the outrage.

Republican Party of Florida Chairman Lenny Curry wrote a letter to WTVJ’s president and general manager, Larry Olevitch, and vice president of news, Migdalia Figueroa, that included a screenshot of the error and demanded the reference be corrected.

“This blatant disregard for journalist ethics and impartiality is a complete abdication of your station’s professional duty to truth at best and slander at worst,” Curry wrote, as quoted by the Miami Herald. “We are currently reviewing our legal options against your station, but at minimum we demand an on-air apology for violating journalist ethics and public discipline for any employees responsible for the creation of this graphic.”

Now cue the groveling from Channel 6.  Someone’s going to get fired.
