Question of the Day

C’mon, you can tell us.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?

Would you like a typewritten list?

HT to Julie.

6 barks and woofs on “Question of the Day

  1. I went to a seminar when I worked for Manville (I was president of the local union at the time). We were supposed to get to know each other, it was a game of some kind and there was a prize at the end. I won the prize. However, in playing the game I walked up to this lady and told her she looked a lot like my former neighbor (I was sincere) and this one guy say now that’s an opening line. Like I was making a pass at her; imagine me making a pass at a woman! I was quite embarrassed.

    • Exactly. Whatever made me stay awake trying to think of how to apologize for whatever I said or did has been forgotten in the mists of time. That, I believe, is good mental health. Or old age . . .

  2. Setting: college dorm bathroom
Characters: several women doing make-up and hair

We were gossiping about another student and getting rather nasty. Suddenly, a toilet stall door opened and out stepped the topic of conversation! She was very hurt and angry, naturally. I could have died of embarrassment and shame. Learned my lesson about gossiping.

  3. The time my then three year old son pulled my elastic waist skirt to my ankles in the middle of McDonalds? In one arm I was holding his baby sister, and in the other, our tray of food. Hmm.

  4. Too many to mention and since you all weren’t there for any of them, I ain’t telling!

Jeannie Marie’s is PERFECT!! I can just see her predicament and sympathize and grin at the same time. Thank you for sharing that!
