I had some visitors late yesterday afternoon.
Gertrude Stein: “Pigeons on the grass, alas.”
Me: “Peacocks on the roof, aloof.”

Are they messy birds, leaving piles of poop all over? We have a crow problem in Rochester. Thousands of them nest downtown, resulting in filthy cars, sidewalks, etc.
Yes. The size of the leavings of a terrier. And the birds themselves have the personalities of divas. When I tried to shoo them off my roof, they looked as me as if I was the intruder. They stand in the middle of the road defying traffic, and their calls would convince a banshee to get out of the business.
Not good neighbors, then!
When I first move to Tx. there was sign on Coffee Port Rd. with a silhouette of peacocks crossing and every so often you would see them about. They are now developing that land and the peacocks and the sign are both gone.
Peacocks on the roof,
Bark bark woof woof!
How did you miss that?
Bark Bark Woof Woof Roof Poop Roof Poop. STOP THAT!
Gorgeous birds but unpleasant personalities and, yes, their cries/screams/screeches can stand your hair on end if you don’t know what it is. 🙂
