The Mustang hit 100,000 miles on the way to work this morning.
I bought the car with 36,000 miles on it almost exactly six years ago, so in that time I’ve put a little over 10,000 miles a year on it, mostly in city driving. It’s been a pretty good ride all along … well, yeah, there was that whole new transmission thing back in December… but other than that, it’s been fun and I’ll probably hang on to it for the foreseeable future.
Interesting factoid: up to 99,999.9 miles, the odometer showed tenths of miles. But when it turned 100,000, the tenths went away. I can still keep track of them with the trip odometer, but I guess Ford didn’t want to have that extra “0” hanging out there until the car got that many miles on it.
