As Seen on TV

I’m trying to be selective in the number of posts I do on Donald Trump, but I couldn’t pass this one up.

From Sunday’s Meet the Press:

TODD: Who do you talk to for military advice right now?

TRUMP: Well, I watch the shows. I mean, I really see a lot of great… you know, when you watch your show, and all of the other shows, and you have the generals, and you have certain people you like.

TODD: But is there somebody, is there a go-to for you? You know, every presidential candidate has a go-to…

TRUMP: Probably there are two or three. I mean, I like Bolton. I think he’s a tough cookie, knows what he’s talking about. Jacobs is a good guy.

TODD: You mean Ambassador Bolton?

TRUMP: Yes.

That’s right up there with “No, I didn’t go to West Point, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night…”

4 barks and woofs on “As Seen on TV

  1. Trump sure seems to spend a lot of time in front of the TV. One wonders whether as POTUS he’d listen to advisors when they tell him things he doesn’t want to hear, or just point the remote at them and try to turn them off.

  2. I have voted in every election since I became a citizen in 1970. Up to now I found all presidential candidates, were judicious, smart (some more than others), even the ones I didn’t like or particularly liked. More important, in debates and commentaries they were respectful to each other and the citizens. This year I cannot see any one of the Republican candidates as our President. How sad!

  3. @Grillo: what campaigns were you observing in 2008 and 2012? Because for the rest of us there were precious few “judicious, smart” candidates in those fields, just less obviously insane pols than are present in the current crop. Remember that we had Bachmann, Cain, Perry, Santorum and others in ’12 who were comparably b#tsh!t; and in ’08 we had Huckabee and the elder Paul, who though less abrasive were hardly sane even then.

  4. John Bolton, the rabid beaver that chased A USAID worker down the halls of a Moscow hotel, until she locked herself in her room to get away from him, and he beat on the door until she called hotel security, that John Bolton? What freaking idiots they both are.
