Via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
Phyllis Schlafly, a political force who fought against the feminist causes and helped pave the way for today’s thriving conservatism movement, has died.
Ed Martin, chief spokesman for Phyllis Schlafly and president of the Eagle Forum, said that Schlafly died at 3:30 p.m. Monday at her home in Ladue with her family around her.
Martin said that Schlafly had some health issues over the last month or two, “A lot of it having to do with being 92.”
Or perhaps the prospect of Hillary Clinton once and for all enacting the ERA was just too much for her.
I don’t believe in the whatever-after, but if there is one, I hope she’s greeted by Matthew Shepard and Divine.
