Dueling headlines from yesterday’s New York Times:
Wise move, NY Times; cover both sides of the bet and you can’t lose. Sure thing.
This is what drives me crazy about the PBS Newshour and NPR : “On the one hand AND on the other hand . . ” I’m afraid I don’t want to hear what the other side has to say and they don’t want my take on the news either no matter how “civilized” we’re urged to be. This is what makes politics.
I know what I’ll get when I listen to MSNBC; news that fits my version of reality. I also know what I’ll get when I listen to FOX; news that has no relation to my version of reality, and never the twain shall meet. NPR gives news that sort of falls in the middle.
