From WTVJ Channel 6 NBC News:

MIAMI — Two emergency workers were unhurt Monday after a drowsy ambulance driver apparently steered the vehicle into Biscayne Bay.

The AMR ambulance plunged into the water behind Miami’s Mercy Hospital early Monday afternoon. Police said the driver and passenger, who were on their way to pick up a patient at the hospital, managed to get out of the vehicle and swim to shore.

“Hey, Fred, you’re sitting on the ether dispenser! Fred…?”
