Now they’re saying it’s going to be another 24 hours before landfall. A feeder band is now moving across the beaches to the north in Fort Lauderdale. We’re getting wind gusts here, but the sky is still blue and sunny here in Coral Gables. That will change when the band hits here pretty soon; it’s moving southwest at 50 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. The eye of the hurricane is now 195 miles east of Fort Lauderdale, still on the northwest course.
