And the Winner Is…

According to Reuters, Karl Rove, Michael Moore, Mel Gibson, Mohammed, God, and “The Blogosphere” are among the contenders for Time magazine’s Person of the Year.

The recognition goes to “the person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or for ill, and embodied what was important about the year, for better or for worse.” Previous winners have included Charles Lindbergh (the first Person of the Year in 1927), Queen Elizabeth, and many other influential people, as well as entities such as “The American Soldier.” Notorious characters such as Hitler, Stalin (twice) and Ayatollah Khomeini have fulfilled the “for ill” and “for worse” categories.

As for “The Blogosphere”… well, speaking strictly for myself, it would be just an honor to be nominated. I guess.
