Check This Out

Thanks to a full-page ad in the New York Times, I found this interesting site, It’s sponsored by, “the public membership arm of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). SEIU sponsored the largest political mobilization ever during this elections cycle, sending thousands of members to work in battleground states.” It’s a petition put up to say that the 51% of the electorate who voted for George W. Bush do not have a monopoly on moral values. There’s also a place where you can add your own two cents.

As you scroll down you’ll see that it’s pretty much an open forum – there are infantile as well as some Freep-style comments mixed in with some very well-thought-out postings, but all in all it seems to be rallying some people to speak up, and taking on the idea of the monopoly of moral values only for the Red States is at least worth considering.
