Made It

Hurricane season ends today. Not much I can add to that other than the weather doesn’t pay much attention to the calendar and there’s still the chance that something more could happen out there.

There’s still recovery efforts going here in Florida from Wilma:

  • Chance to apply for blue roof tarps in S. Florida ends on Thursday
  • Broward County estimates $1 billion in damage from Wilma
  • Hurricane homeless being shuttled from shelter to shelter in Palm Beach County
  • I notice that New Orleans is still struggling with recovery from Katrina; 40% of the city is still without power. So much for the “greatest recovery effort ever.” That’s sort of become as useful a phrase as “freedom’s on the march” in Iraq.

    Anyway, June is six months away…
