Remember the Veterans

I’ll take a moment to thank the veterans — my father, my uncle, my cousin (who is still on active duty), friends Bob, Walt, and many others — and not forget for the moment or forever that they gave up a part of their lives and futures in service to our nation. More importantly, they deserve the honor regardless of what we think of the war they fought in. They did not choose the war, but they did their duty, and whether or not we agree with the conflict is of no importance in measuring their sacrifice or our duty to honor and respect them.

And, by the way, a faded magnetic sticker on the back of an SUV doesn’t cut it.
