Travel Day

I’m off this morning with The Old Professor to Independence, Kansas, for the 25th annual William Inge Festival. We fly from Miami to Dallas to Tulsa, then drive up through such metropoli as Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Caney, Kansas — passing within hailing distance of the site of the real “Little House on the Prairie,” made famous in the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder and Michael Landon.

I’ll check in when I get to the hotel; meanwhile, talk amongst yourselves. As Atrios says, try not to shoot anyone in the face.
