Go Away, Ralph

Ralph Nader says he considering another run for president.

Ralph Nader, the consumer advocate who ran for president in 2000 and 2004, said he is considering another bid for the White House because he believes the current contenders aren’t standing up enough to corporate interests.

Oh joy oh rapture. Just what we need: another ego-driven campaign who thinks he’s the only one in the world that knows the real answers.

Yeah, that was Newt Gingrich’s plan, too.

If Mr. Nader was serious about doing something about corporate influence in politics, he would be working within the system to change it, not standing on the outside screaming at the edifice on a bullhorn, or showing up every election cycle to threaten to run for president. So far his results are less than impressive, so he might want to reconsider his game plan.
