Shorter Paul Krugman

Brace yourself, Senator Obama; compared to the general election, winning the primaries is the easy part.

Mr. Krugman also raises two other points about Sen. Obama’s situation: so far he has yet to win over the hard-core progressive wing of the Democratic party, and the press has been giving John McCain pretty much of a free ride. Both of these elements could make it tough for him in the general election, and if he is actually elected it will make it even harder for him to govern if he can’t deliver on the soaring promises of the campaign stump.
