The problems with my computer were attributed to BitDefender, the anti-virus software that I just bought two weeks ago. Jeffrey Walsh, the owner and operator of The Compudoc here in Stratford, said it was conflicting with other software, including my back-up software. He also said it has been known to take down operating systems like Vista. So Jeff took it off, installed AVG (free), and all systems are running very smoothly.
When I get back to the States, I’ll contact BitDefender and try to get my money back.
I’ll do the Friday Blogaround tomorrow. Rook did it for me. Thanks!
This afternoon we’re off to see Brian Dennehy in a double bill of Krapp’s Last Tape by Samuel Beckett and Hughie by Eugene O’Neill.
