Well, it was fun and relaxing, but the Winter Break officially ends today and it’s time to get back to the routine of getting up and going to work.
I actually got a lot of non-work work done here at the house, including getting the last of the pictures hung, getting the office organized, some yard work done, and I even got caught up on my reading and writing. I had a great time visiting Boatboy in Tampa (although we both agree that there are better ways to spend money than going to trendy tapas-style restaurants that serve appetizers as entrees and charge you way too much to be tragically hip), and I had a nice Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with good friends. Oh, yeah, and there was some blogging done, too.
And above all, I’m glad to have a job to go back to; a lot of people I know are facing tough times. So, as much as we may moan about the routine of the daily grind and the commute (here’s hoping they’ve finished the re-paving on Old Cutler Road), it’s better than the alternative.
