Vice President Dick Cheney says no one predicted the financial crisis:
[N]obody anywhere was smart enough to figure it out.
Yeah, except a bunch of people did, including those of us who saw the housing bubble built on subprime mortgages (and who had landlords who couldn’t pay them), plus the people at Bear Stearns when it went under last March, plus the people who saw the price of oil hit $145 a barrel last summer, and anyone else with half a brain who hasn’t been sucking down on the Bush administration’s Kool Aid.
Add this to the ever-growing pile of stuff the Bush administration didn’t see coming and how it’s not their fault.
