Question of the Day

He who steals my car…

Ever had a car stolen or broken into?

Many years ago when I had a CB radio, someone tried to jimmy the lock on my 1975 Ford Granada, but apparently they were interrupted … or changed their minds … because all I found was the remnants of a coat hanger lying next to the car and a bent CB antenna. But I’ve never really owned a car that was either new enough or cool enough to steal.

2 barks and woofs on “Question of the Day

  1. “New enough or cool enough?”, MB? My mom’s ’85 Corolla was five years old and JUST paid for when it was stolen and dumped in Liberty City. A couple of punks tried to steal my then new 94 Honda Civic but were caught in the act by yours truly, and miracle of miracles, the Boynton Beach police actually responded and nabbed them in minutes. So…”new and cool” is meaningless these days. In this part of the world the criteria are “What can I get for it in Mexico?”, or is it just old enough for the parts to be in demand locally so we can chop it up and parcel it out.
Having been through the experience only peripherally I can still attest to the fact that it sucks, big time.
