Graham Crackers

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) speaking on the stimulus vote last week in the Senate on ABC:

Our “This Week” panel this morning got into a rousing debate over the stimulus bill, with Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, S.C. and Rep. Peter King, N.Y., arguing the GOP was left out of the process.

“If I may say, if this is going to be bipartisanship, the country’s screwed,” Graham said.

So because the Republicans didn’t get everything they wanted in the stimulus package, in spite of the fact that they had decided to vote against whatever the president and the Democrats came up with in the first place, Lindsey Graham has a hissy-fit on national TV? Oh, grow up.

After the last eight years of stunningly poor leadership and no pretense whatsoever of bipartisanship from the Republicans — which included veiled and not-so-veiled implications of treason for not supporting every move President Bush made — hearing this kind of whining from the losers is more than a bit much.
