I had an e-mail from a regular reader who noted that the Comments section was not visible to her. I had no trouble getting to them, but I suspect there may be others who had the same problem recently.
If you tried to comment and couldn’t get through, let me know via e-mail and I will pass it along to the folks at JS-Kit. Although things have gotten better since the dark times in January after the switch-over, I’m still getting the occasional complaint from people who either can’t get the system to remember their log-in or can’t see the comments at all.
One thing I do know is that some people have told me that the new JS-Kit doesn’t play well with their browser and firewall software whereas there was no trouble with HaloScan. If you know how to do it, check your browser and firewall settings. That said, a comment system shouldn’t have the quirks that set off the firewall.
Even though I had nothing to do with it, my apologies, and if it continues, I still have the link to IntenseDebate on my “favorites” list, if you get my drift…
Update: JS-Kit explained to me that because they are now allowing commenters to sign on on their Yahoo! accounts, they had a big traffic spike, which caused the system to slow down. They promise to get it up to speed soon.
