Question of the Day

Old habits die hard …

What words or terms do you still use even if they’re outmoded?

Maybe this is just a sign of my middle age, but I still use terms like “icebox” even though the thing in the kitchen that keeps food cold isn’t technically a box with a block of ice in the top. I wrap leftovers in “tin foil,” and I still call that tall building on Park Avenue in New York the “Pan Am” building even though it’s been the “MetLife” building for decades.

Oh, and the place where the Dolphins play will always be Joe Robbie Stadium no matter what they call it.
