Someone over at the Toledo Blade needs to do better proofreading.
Finkbeiner staffers gets wine flu vaccination
With a titillating bouquet, it’s an impudent little virus without any breeding, but I think you’ll be amused by its presumptuousness. Shall I have the steward bring you a full vial?
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Toledo politics, Carleton “Carty” Finkbeiner is the outgoing — in more ways than one — mayor of the city. He’s been a fixture in Toledo for as long as I can remember with a varied career — I remember when he was a sixth-grade teacher at Maumee Valley Country Day School in the early 1960’s — and he’s belonged to just about every political party there is. So “wine flu” doesn’t surprise me in the least.
Update: The Blade has since corrected the headline.
