I realize a lot of progressives are honked off at Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) for his tactics on the healthcare bill, but why should his wife be attacked for the work she’s doing for a charity? The claim is that she has worked as a consultant for pharmaceutical companies. Well, unless I’m missing something here, the two have little to do with each other, and Hadassah Lieberman’s work should be out of the mix, especially since the objections about her work weren’t raised until Sen. Lieberman did his ego-centric pirouette on the Medicare buy-in.
Besides, going after someone’s wife because of her husband is childish, vengeful, and irrelevant. And we all know that the righties are far better at that than anyone else.
