Back Home Again

I made it, home and dry. Well, a bit moist; they had some rain in Miami today.

Getting through TSA screening at Detroit Metro Airport was no different than any other time I’ve traveled in the last few years; it was quick, painless, and there were no long lines. Perhaps it was because I was traveling on a holiday, but there was no apparent increase in time or tension as we went through the line. The flight home was uneventful except the in-flight movie was Jim Carrey in Yes Man so I didn’t bother watching it. You’ve seen one Jim Carrey movie… you’ve seen too many (except for Man in the Moon). There were no in-flight restrictions on putting a blanket on your lap or leaving your seat an hour before landing. And no, I did not check the underwear on the guy sitting next to me. Please. I do have my standards. (They may be low, but I have them.)

Anyway, while it was great to be with my folks and see old friends and old haunts, it’s always nice to get back to your own bed.
