It’s Presidents’ Day here in the U.S., so schools and some federal offices are closed. It used to be called Washington’s Birthday, but a while ago the Congress decided to combine it with Lincoln’s Birthday and go generic. It is also intended to honor the service of all the presidents.
I’m not sure how to celebrate the holiday… throw some wooden teeth across the Potomac, perhaps?
It’s also Flag Day in Canada, marking the 45th anniversary of the official raising of the red and white maple leaf flag. If you’ve been watching the Olympics, you’ve probably seen it quite a lot during the events.
I get the day off nonetheless.
