William Kristol weighed in on the healthcare summit on the Fox News Sunday roundatble.
You compared it at the beginning of the hour to a dog-and-pony show, and I thought to myself, that’s really an insult to dog-and-pony shows. I like the dog shows there on the Animal Planet. … Many people were impressive. The President showed his usual professorial ability to sort of say certain things and highlight certain facts, or alleged facts.
It should be noted that Mr. Kristol also told the panel that he didn’t watch any of the summit.
Maybe I’ve got this whole pundit thing wrong, but when there’s an event like a summit or a State of the Union speech or something that might warrant commentary, I make an effort to actually watch it before I write about it. Wow, am I silly. Who knew you could make a living as a Fox commentator without knowing anything about what you’re talking about?
