Much Worse

Remember when BP and the Coast Guard said that the leak would be dumping 5,000 to 10,000 barrels of oil a day into the Gulf and we were all horrified? Yeah, those were the days.

An internal BP Plc document released on Sunday by a senior U.S. congressional Democrat shows that the company estimates that a worst-case scenario rate for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill could be about 100,000 barrels of oil per day.

I don’t think the meter thingies that people have on their blogs can count that high or that fast.
