Shamelessly nicked from Paul the Spud:
Are you a hat person? If not, what’s your accessory?
I wear hats quite often. I have a large collection of baseball-style caps, including one promoting my blog, one promoting my car club, and several genuine Detroit Tigers caps. I keep one in the car to keep the sun out of my eyes when I have the top down; it goes great with my Rayban Wayfarers.
I also have a real cowboy hat, purchased in 1964 in Estes Park, Colorado, and worn daily when I worked at a summer camp in Colorado from 1976 to 1986. It still fits. I also have a Quaker-style hat which I wear when the situation calls for it; the last time was when I was invited to the first night of Passover by some friends who insisted that I wear my “Quaker yarmulke.”
I have a lot of ties, collected since my teenage years when I went to a school that required them, but I rarely wear them. I think I went the entire time I lived in Albuquerque — six years — without wearing one.
