Burnooses on a Plane

Just to be clear about the termination of Juan Williams’s contract with NPR: it is not a violation of the First Amendment if you get fired for violating the terms of that contract. I’m sure all the Constitutional experts over at Fox can explain it all.

Oh, and when you say stuff like this

Yesterday NPR fired me for telling the truth. The truth is that I worry when I am getting on an airplane and see people dressed in garb that identifies them first and foremost as Muslims.

This is not a bigoted statement. It is a statement of my feelings, my fears after the terrorist attacks of 9/11 by radical Muslims.

…you’re proving NPR’s point. Yes, it is bigoted.

By the way, I wonder what would happen if Juan Williams got on a plane and the in-flight movie was Lawrence of Arabia.
