Bullseye

In the wake of the shootings in Tucson, Sarah Palin has come in for a bit of notice when folks remembered that her PAC sent out a poster targeting vulnerable Democratic districts with cross-hairs:

Now her team is saying that those weren’t cross-hairs; they were — wait for it — “surveyor’s marks” and that her PAC had nothing whatsoever to do with the graphic.

That’s quite a change of tune from last November after the mid-terms.

The adult thing to do — and the one that would show true leadership — would be to admit to what she did, that it was wrong, and apologize. Apparently she is incapable of that.

If the only good thing that comes out of this horrible event is that Ms. Palin, this pathetic excuse for a political entity, is finally ushered off the stage, it will be one small step back to civility. But what a price to pay for it.
