When Was That?

Via Steve Benen, here’s a bit of insight from a member of Congress — Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA) — on when the job market began to collapse:

Well, what we’ve seen is massive job loss that began in about 2008, and I believe that was under Barack Obama.

Not only was Barack Obama not the president in 2008 — he was inaugurated on January 20, 2009 — the job market began to pick up almost immediately after he was sworn in, and thanks to the stimulus package and other steps to recovery, has improved somewhat steadily since then.

By the way, he said this on MSNBC, and as far as I can tell, no one, including the person interviewing Mr. Price, bothered to call him out on his blatant lack of basic knowledge of when things like presidential inaugurations happen, so either they’re just as ignorant or they’re afraid of being called “biased” for pointing out the truth.
