I remember them, not because of what they revealed, but because I remember thinking that they basically proved everything I had come to believe about the war in Vietnam and the people who got us into it.

The volcanic reaction of the Nixon White House, which eventually led to Watergate and the demise of Nixon’s presidency, only strengthened those beliefs.
