I guess I missed Campbell Brown’s op-ed in the New York Times yesterday wherein the former CNN news person takes on President Obama for being “condescending” towards women.
Apparently this is a counterattack to the “war on women” meme that has been getting so much air time recently. She tells us that all the women she’s talked to care more about the economy than anything else; silly things like pay equity and the stripping away of reproductive rights don’t matter much when you don’t have a job.
I’m sure Ms. Brown — who says she’s an independent journalist and carries no water for any campaign (and discloses that her husband, Dan Senor, does) — is sincere in her beliefs. But until the Republicans can rid themselves of people like Bubba Carpenter (yes, that’s his real name) standing up for women’s rights, maybe then Ms. Brown can understand why women are running away from the Republicans. And she might want to read what the same paper that ran her op-ed had to say on the matter.
