Annals of Self-Loathing

Janis Lane is the president of the Central Mississippi Tea Party, and she believes that women should not be allowed to vote because they are diabolical and emotional.

“Our country might have been better off if it was still just men voting. There is nothing worse than a bunch of mean, hateful women. They are diabolical in how than can skewer a person. I don’t see that in men,” said Lane during an interview with the Jackson Free Press.

I don’t think Ms. Lane knows a whole lot of men.

4 barks and woofs on “Annals of Self-Loathing

  1. Janis may be diabolical, but to say all women are, is going too far. Too many of our foremothers fought way too hard to provide me and my daughters, and all women the right to vote. I always vote, and I will continue to do so until I cannot anymore. It is the right thing to do. If she wants to go backward, fine, but the rest of us want to move forward.

  2. I reared two daughters by myself and I taught them not to take crap from any man or woman. At the time, I thought that I was doing the right thing… and I have not regrets! You are entitled to your opinion, I just may not share that with the right wing. My girls are both Democrats!

    • Mike, I, too, have two daughters, and thankfully, they are both Democrats. I so enjoy talking politics with both of them. They are smart and kind, and I bet your girls are, too.

  3. I’d be more than happy to support Ms. Lane’s proposal – provided, of course, that she give up her vote first. As an example to the rest, of course.

We’ll see how far that goes…
