Executive Orders

Charles P. Pierce translates President Obama’s executive orders on guns that are really meant to take them all away and turn us into a nation of sheeple under the heel of the jack-booted thugs who are taking orders from the Secret Gay Muslim Kenyan Socialist.

1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system.

(The singular of “data” is “tyrant.” Look it up.)

2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system.

(You’ll get my schizophrenia when you pry it from our cold dead hands.)

3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system.

(Someone in Vermont will know what I’m doing. The jackboot of Ben And Jerry’s is on my neck.)

Wolverines!

2 barks and woofs on “Executive Orders

  1. It’s a well-known fact that if you lump together 20 or more individually innocuous government actions, that equals 1 act of intolerable tyranny.

  2. 12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations.
    (Wait, I like this.)

    13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime.
(Wait, I’m supposed to say that I like this.)

I thought the whole idea of “2nd Amendment remedies” was that an armed (and ready to use it) citizenry wouldn’t need law enforcement; because self-defense (or defense of property, or resisting unlawful assault on one’s person / spouse / property / finances / cattle / slaves -er, employees) is perfectly justifiable, and because the criminal courts would only be deciding whether the shooting was justifiable or accidental (and any other decision would be proof of tyranny).

/snark (in case nobody could tell), though it’s not far from GOA’s perspective on the matter.
