Make Way for Ducklings

Just like the story by Robert McCluskey, I have a family of ducks living under a tree in the front yard.  As I was going out to dinner last night, they made their way across the lawn to the canal for an early evening swim and dinner.

5 barks and woofs on “Make Way for Ducklings

  1. We have a goose family exercising across our backyard, Mom in front, Dad bringing up the rear and nudging laggards. We have a nest of robins perched on a drain pipe by the front door, the new nestlings squawking loudly whenever I pass below. We have wrens in one of the two houses hung for the purpose making more noise in joyful matrimony (I think) and we have mosquitoes multiplying by the minute. Happy springtime.

That would explain why I got cussed out in Robin-chirps when I went to take a picture of the cranes by the front door.
