Quote of the Day

Dick Cheney, of all people, is criticizing the Obama administration for not being prepared for the attack in Benghazi.

‘They should have been ready before anything ever happened,’ Cheney told MailOnline exclusively during a party in Georgetown celebrating the launch of a new book by former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld…’When we were there, on our watch, we were always ready on 9/11, on the anniversary,’ he recalled.

The anniversary of what?  Oh, that’s right: the attack that you were totally warned about with such subtle hints as “Bin Ladin Determined to Strike in U.S.”

The man is pond scum.

  1. Now that’s not fair, MB. Pond scum proves food & hiding places for small aquatic organisms, so it’s useful. Mr. Cheney, ah, not so much.

    • I can’t help thinking that 2000 years from now, when Cheney is disinterred for examination, not even the worms and bacteria will have taken to him.

‘They should have been ready before anything ever happened,’ indeed. You mean like you were, sir, on 9/10? THAT kind of ready?

      Humph.

  2. And still no one mentions the fact that funds from Congress to the State Department were cut making it difficult if not impossible to protect every outpost or provide instant air cover for such an attack as happened. Or the fact that that particular envoy was beloved by the Libyans for his willingness to go out among them without armed guards. Such subtleties are lost in hearings that give Pond Scum like Issa a chance to preen and Cheney to preach.
