Oh, Sure

Televangelist Pat Robertson says he’s not “anti-gay” and that a lot of gay people actually watch “The 700 Club.”

“I am very pleased that we have many, many, many homosexuals watching this program and many of them are looking for love and acceptance and help and I’m glad to report that we have thousands of these people who are saying, ‘yes we want to follow Jesus, we’re not happy with the lifestyle we’re in and we want to have a better way,’ I think it’s wonderful that that’s happening,” Robertson said.

Robertson then speculated that those who are “into this homosexual thing” may have been victims of sexual abuse as children or “maybe got some chromosomal damage.”

Yeah, speaking of chromosomal damage…

Anyway, this is the guy who said that gays caused the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, that they were bringing hurricanes to Florida because Disneyworld was hosting Gay Days at the theme park, that Facebook should have a “Vomit” button for pictures of gay couples….

Gee, I’d really hate to hear what he’d have to say if he really was anti-gay.
