Who’s On First?

For a guy who’s supposed to be so smart, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) can come up with some really stupid things to say.  For example, here he is telling CBN that allowing marriage equality will lead to the downfall of America because Christian preaching will be defined as “hate speech.”

If you look at other nations that have gone down the road towards gay marriage, that’s the next step where it gets enforced. It gets enforced against Christian pastors who decline to perform gay marriages, who speak out and preach biblical truths on marriage.

Would that be before or after the First Amendment is repealed?

5 barks and woofs on “Who’s On First?

  1. Cruz obviously subscribes to the school of Xtian thought that calling non-Xtians “heathen,” “unSaved” or other such terms is a matter of mere identification and not mortal insult. This is where Xtian exclusivity bumps head-on into the inclusiveness of Greater Christendom.

Personally, I dare Cruz to make XtianSpeak in front of an RC bigwig (preferably Pope Francis, though anyone monsignor or higher will do), just to see how fast he can offend RC sensibilities with his Xtianity.

  2. I thought divorce and inter-racial marriage had already destroyed America long ago. And women voting and short skirts, and rock and roll music, and, whatever.

    • America was destroyed the moment they let the Puritans out of Massachusetts Bay and the RCs out of Maryland. Everything after that is postscript (including emancipation, jazz, short skirts, Rosie the Riveter, the Sherman Act and the National Parks).
