California Dreamin’

Not to pick on the Golden State (see below), but the GOP in California is already so far on the outs with the voters that they can barely get a word in edgewise.  In both state and federal offices, the Democrats rule the roosts.  But hope springs eternal, and the California Republicans think that they can get back in shape by bringing in a really good motivational speaker.

Seemingly ready and raring for a second shot at the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, Texas Gov. Rick Perry has accepted the top speaking slot at the California Republican Party’s fall convention in Anaheim this fall.

Perry will speak to more than 1,000 members on the future of the party, focusing on next year’s midterm elections and the impending race for the presidency.

Oops.

One bark on “California Dreamin’

  1. Goodhair will go down well in Bakersfield. But then they’re still listening to Buck Owens.

I recall the GOP convention in San Diego back in 96. We all laughed: all those Reichwing pols whinging about “the illegal immigrant problem” – who did they think was driving their taxis/vans/limos, cleaning their hotel rooms and cooking their food while they were there?
